Welcome Message from the Head of Department

A Message from the Head of Department

Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department, Kinango Technical and Vocational College

Every journey starts with one step. Kinango Technical and Vocational College, as a centre of excellence in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, has come a long way. The Department has added major growth inputs that have greatly contributed to the overall development of the institution. What began with a few basic tools and a small group of determined learners has grown into a busy, well-equipped department where practical skills meet disciplined training.

Step by step, workshop by workshop, lesson by lesson, we have expanded our facilities and strengthened our teaching so that our students leave ready to work, innovate, and lead. Even when change was necessary, we adapted fully to the revised Modularized curriculum. This success has been made possible through the unwavering support of the institution, industries, and stakeholders. Every achievement has been earned through hard work, teamwork, and a strong respect for safety.

We are intentionally aligning our programmes with government policies and the goals of Vision 2030, focusing on industrialisation, job creation, and sustainable growth. Our aim is to impart skills, knowledge, and the right attitude so graduates are not only technically competent but also professional, adaptable, and ready to contribute to Kenya's growing industries. We teach hands-on techniques, problem-solving, and workplace ethics so students can step straight into employment, innovation, or entrepreneurship with confidence.

Partnerships with local industries and employers are central to what we do. By working closely with companies through dual training, industrial attachments, and internships, we ensure our training matches real workplace needs and that our students gain practical experience, mentorship, and exposure to modern tools and standards. Employers who recruit from Kinango TVC can expect well-skilled, disciplined, and motivated young professionals who are prepared to add value from day one.

We bless all our students, staff, and the entire Kinango TVC fraternity. May your skills light homes, power industries, and brighten communities across Kenya. To everyone who wishes to join this great engineering family — welcome! Come ready to learn, to work hard, and to be part of a community that turns ambition into achievement.
