Kinango Technical & Vocational College (KTVC) is located in the expansive Kwale County, Samburu Sub-County in Mackinnon Township. The college was born out of the government's unwavering commitment to attain the Sustainable Development Goals. Established in September 2019, the institution has since become synonymous with excellence in training, offering a diverse range of programmes and initiatives tailored to meet the evolving needs of its trainee population.
The institution offers practical, hands-on training in various technical and vocational disciplines, aligning with the demand for skilled labour in Kenya's growing economy. The college equips students with relevant skills for the job market — in engineering, information technology, business studies, hospitality, fashion design, cosmetology and more.
As a government-funded public institution, Kinango TVC is more affordable than private colleges. Students may access scholarships and loans through the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) and county government bursaries. In addition to technical skills, KTVC strongly encourages entrepreneurship, preparing students to start their own businesses after graduation.
Located in Kwale County, KTVC serves the local community by providing accessible, high-quality education and training, especially to students from the Coast region and neighbouring counties, promoting regional development and economic empowerment.
