The Department of Computing and Informatics at Kinango Technical and Vocational College (KTVC) is at the forefront of digital skills training in Kwale County. We prepare graduates to thrive in Kenya's rapidly digitising economy by offering a progressive range of programmes — from Artisan level for KCPE holders through to Diploma level for KCSE graduates — covering Information Communication Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security and Software Development.
All programmes are delivered under the national Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework, accredited by the Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC) and regulated by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). Diploma programmes are examined by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
Kenya's digital economy — spanning e-government, fintech, telecommunications, media and the growing tech startup scene — demands a constant pipeline of qualified ICT professionals. KTVC's Computing department responds directly to this demand, providing graduates with market-ready technical skills in software, networking, systems administration and digital literacy. Our modern computer labs, internet connectivity and industry-linked curriculum ensure every graduate is workplace-ready from day one.
