About the Department

The Department of Computing and Informatics at Kinango Technical and Vocational College (KTVC) is at the forefront of digital skills training in Kwale County. We prepare graduates to thrive in Kenya's rapidly digitising economy by offering a progressive range of programmes — from Artisan level for KCPE holders through to Diploma level for KCSE graduates — covering Information Communication Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security and Software Development.

All programmes are delivered under the national Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework, accredited by the Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC) and regulated by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). Diploma programmes are examined by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).

Kenya's digital economy — spanning e-government, fintech, telecommunications, media and the growing tech startup scene — demands a constant pipeline of qualified ICT professionals. KTVC's Computing department responds directly to this demand, providing graduates with market-ready technical skills in software, networking, systems administration and digital literacy. Dedicated cyber security training environment for ethical hacking exercises, vulnerability scanning, digital forensics practice and penetration testing using industry tools.
Hardware Repair Workshop
Fully stocked hardware maintenance workshop with anti-static benches, diagnostic tools, soldering equipment, spare components and laptop/printer repair stations.

Pay the Required Fees

Make payment via the designated KTVC bank account or Mpesa paybill as specified in the fee structure. Keep your payment receipt — it is required for admission.

Submit Your Application & Documents

Bring certified copies of your academic certificates, National ID or Birth Certificate, fee receipt and 2 passport photos to the Registrar's Office, KTVC Samburu Campus.

Receive Your Admission Letter & Report
