About the Department

The Department of Business and Entrepreneurship Studies at Kinango Technical and Vocational College (KTVC) is dedicated to nurturing competent, innovative and ethical professionals who can thrive in Kenya's dynamic economy. We offer a comprehensive range of 12 CBET programmes spanning Human Resource Management, Business Management, Office Administration, Procurement Management, Tour and Travel Management, and Social Work and Community Development.

All programmes are delivered under the national Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework, accredited by the Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC) and regulated by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). Students track their academic progress through the Intellimis Academic Portal.

Situated in Kwale County — a coastal region with a booming tourism sector, expanding SME landscape and significant county government activity — KTVC business graduates are well-positioned for employment in banks, county governments, NGOs, hotels, tour companies and social development organisations. The department emphasises practical entrepreneurship skills alongside core theory to produce graduates who are both job-ready and enterprise-capable.
