Welcome Message from the Head of Department

A Message from the Head of Department

Business & Entrepreneurship Studies Department, Kinango Technical and Vocational College

Welcome to the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship Studies at Kinango Technical and Vocational College. I am honoured to serve as the Head of Department of this dynamic and results-driven department, which is dedicated to producing business-ready graduates equipped to thrive in Kenya's modern economy.

Our department offers a rich range of programmes delivered under both the CDACC (Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council) and KNEC (Kenya National Examinations Council) frameworks — ensuring that every graduate holds a nationally recognised qualification that meets industry standards. From entry-level office administration to advanced management diplomas, our programmes are designed to provide both practical skills and theoretical knowledge that employers demand.

We are committed to nurturing ethical, innovative and competent professionals who can take up roles in business management, human resources, procurement and supply chain, tourism management, social work and community development. Beyond employment, we equally prepare our trainees for self-employment and entrepreneurship — because we believe that every graduate has the potential to be a job creator, not just a job seeker.

Our graduates serve in county governments, NGOs, financial institutions, hospitality firms, procurement departments and social development organisations across Kwale County and beyond. We welcome all stakeholders, partners and prospective trainees to explore what this department has to offer and join us in building a skilled, enterprising and prosperous nation.
