Hello and Welcome to Kinango Technical & Vocational College
Kinango Technical & Vocational College (KTVC) is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution. KTVC was established in September, 2019 in conformity with the TVET Act No. 29 of 2013 as a Centre of Excellence in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with state-of-the-art equipment.
The Institute is domiciled in Mackinnon Road township, Kinango Constituency in Kwale County. The institution implements the KNEC, KASNEB, NITA & TVET-CDACC curriculum. In a period of five years, we have seen tremendous growth in terms of courses offered and student enrolment; from an initial population of 13 students and 7 teaching staff in 2019 to over 1000 students and over 35 teaching staff presently.
The institute offers academic programmes spread across six teaching departments namely: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Business & Liberal Studies, Fashion Design, Tourism Management, ICT, and Mechanical and Automotive Engineering. We train at diploma, certificate, and artisan levels with over twenty-five courses and our hands-on training has ensured that our graduates acquire the necessary skills and competencies as required by the industry.
KTVC is managed by a Board of Governors (BOG) which is appointed by the Cabinet Secretary of Education and the Principal serves as the Secretary to the BOG. We are a member of the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) as well as the Commonwealth Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA).
