The business Department has a total of 10 trainers and students 104 business, 82 social work, 36 Tourism Management that’s brings a total of 222.
The Business Department offers a range of programs under both CDACC (Curriculum Development Assessment and Certification Council) and KNEC (Kenya National Examinations Council) frameworks. Each course provides specialized training in various aspects of business, equipping students with practical and theoretical skills.
Programs offered in the Department:
- Office Assistance (Level 4) – Curriculum CDACC.
This entry-level program equips students with fundamental skills in office administration, such as clerical duties, record-keeping, communication, and basic computer applications. - Business Management (Level 5 and 6) – Curriculum-KNEC
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of business operations, entrepreneurship, and strategic management. Level 5 emphasizes the basics of business operations, while Level 6 focuses on advanced management techniques techniques. - Supply Chain Management (Level 5 and 6) – Curriculum KNEC & CDACC
Trains students on the logistics, procurement, and overall management of supply chain activities. Level 5 covers foundational knowledge, while Level 6 provides deeper insights into strategy and decision-making. - Human Resource Management (Level 5 and 6) – Curriculum: KNEC & CDACC: Focuses on the principles and practices of managing people in organizations. Level 5 introduces HR basics, while Level 6 deals with more complex HR functions such as labor laws and employee development.
- Social Work and Community Development (Level 5 and 6) – Curriculum: KNEC & CDACC
Focus: Prepares students to address social challenges and promote community well-being. The course integrates theoretical knowledge with fieldwork. - Tourism Management (Level 5 and 6) – Curriculum: KNEC & CDACC
Provides skills and knowledge to manage tourism businesses, including customer service, destination management, and tourism marketing. Level 6 involves strategic management in tourism.
